About this Author
Dr. T. Nelson Williams, II is the Chief Administrative Officer at Conex Oil and Gas Holdings. He previously served as Managing Director at the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) and Vice President at Bank of America.
He is the Founder and Executive Director of Servants of All Prayer Assembly (“SOAP”), a non-governmental, non-political Christian NGO charged with standing in the gap for the nation through prayer, community outreach and the implementation of projects to fight gender-based violence in Liberia.
He possesses a wealth of experience working 22 years in leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. including Bank of America, SunTrust Bank, American Express, Ticketmaster, First Investors Corporation and Bass Hotels International.
His civic involvement extends to International and local boards including, ECOBANK Liberia, YMCA, Teach for Liberia (Advisory Board Chairman), President’s Young Professionals Program (Board, Co-Chairman), American Management Association (AMA), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and serves as council man at the Liberia Chamber of Commerce. He is the Group Manager/ Executive Producer for Christ Ambassadors gospel recording artists and the Vice President/Mobilization for the Mighty Barrolle Sports Association.
He holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from St. Augustine’s University, an MPA degree from North Carolina Central University and an Honorary PhD in Christian Leadership and Business from CORE Kingdom University. Mr. Williams earned a certificate in Public and Private Human Resources from North Carolina State University. He also obtained a project management certificate from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Williams received numerous awards to include The Grand Commander, Order of the Star of Africa by the Republic of Liberia. The highest honor given to a civilian by the government while serving as President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; International Brother of the Year, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (2020); Charity Ambassador, Charity Liberia (2014); Managing Director of the Year, Flash Point Newspaper (2012);
UNCF Meritorious Service Award, United Negro College Fund (1991); Outstanding Young Man of America (1986) to name a few.
He is an active member of Harvest Intercontinental Ministries (HIM) and Trustee at Harvest -Wondersland, Marshall. Fraternally, Williams is the District Executive Director for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., International Association of Alpha Chapters (IAAC) and a Life Member.
He is married to Cllr. Soni Karnga Williams and is blessed with two beautiful daughters, Hadiya, and Talia. He also serves as mentor and father to many non-biological children.
